There was something very interesting about the 1992 World Cup match between Pakistan and the West Indies on February 23. The game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground was the first time in one-day international that only two wickets fell during the course of a completed match. All in all, 441 runs were scored off 96.5 overs. In fact, the last 344 runs were scored without the loss of any wicket. The only man who made the trip back to the pavilion was Brian Lara (see pic on left), who was struck on the toe by a Wasim Akram yorker when he was on 93.

More on the West Indies, this time from 1996. Southpaw Keith Arthurton had a rather unfortunate Cup average of 0.40 from five outings. His highest score was 1, made twice.
