Addressing a party rally, he said the Congress leadership, during the Quit India movement could not realise the objective of freedom from British rule as it took several more years to rid ourself from the colonial yoke.

"The Congress has no right to claim itself as the only nationalist force which had waged a battle for freedom of our country from British rule...The RSS and other nationalist forces had also participated actively in the freedom movement," Sudershan said.

He claimed several Congress leaders in their memoirs and biographies had lavished praise on RSS and other nationalist forces, apart from Congress, for waging a protracted freedom movement.

Referring to Sangh Parivar's mission to usher in socio-economic and cultural transformation of the country by uniting Hndutva forces, Sudershan asked the majority community to do away with the practice of untouchability and caste-based hierarchy.
