There are just over three months left before the inaugural Indian Grand Prix and you can feel the sense of urgency at the Buddh International Circuit's (BIC) construction site just outside Greater Noida. The race organisers are under pressure to deliver on their promise of the event not descending into the kind of chaos like the Commonwealth Games. Even Karun Chandhok, who is sponsored by Jaypee Sports International, admitted recently that the scheduled completion of the track looked 'tough'.

The BIC will not be alone in just about making it on time, however. The circuits in Yeongam, South Korea (2010) and Istanbul, Turkey (2005) also only just managed to meet the deadlines put in place by the FIA, Formula 1's governing body.
