Rahul Dravid made his debut at Lord's in 1996 and straightaway showed the world what type of player he is. He stayed in the crease for six hours as if to make the most of his debut and scored 95 runs. He hasn't looked back since and is one of the best occupiers of the crease.

Theres no end better than Dravid to come to the crease when things are going wrong. There's no one worse than him to come to the crease when India is chasing a total. The result is that he finds it difficult to get a place in the one-day team and has had to don the wicketkeepers gloves to remain in the team.

Dravid has already etched his name among Indian cricket greats. An epic wall for Indian cricket, Dravid has been the permanent fixture in the Indian batting line-up for quite a long. He made his Test debut in England in 1996. His strengths have been the caliber to occupy the crease, his guts and determination, flair. He has often been criticised for his performance in the shorter version of game.
