“They disappointed the August 9 Kishtwar victims by maintaining a stony silence over the reign of senseless brutalities unleashed by fanatics on them last year to create a Kashmir-like situation in the communally-sensitive district of Jammu province,” said Om.

“By not uttering a single word for the victims of terrorism, Rahul and Omar established that their whole approach was communal and inhuman,” said Om.

“Rahul, Omar and others of their ilk do not miss any opportunity to attack the pro-people and democratic BJP and hold it responsible for the September 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots which took place after some goons belonging to a particular community ill-treated a young girl belonging to the majority community. But when it comes to Jammu and Kashmir, they either side with separatists and communalists, or maintain stony silence,” he said, and added that it must remain a matter of shame that the NC-Congress coalition government in the state has neither brought the Kishtwar criminals to justice nor compensated the huge losses the minority community suffered.

He appealed to the electorate of Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha constituency and Ladakh to vote overwhelmingly for the BJP to have a strong, stable, pro-people government at the Centre.

“A vote for the Congress and the National Conference would be a vote against the people of the state and the nation as a whole,” he said.
