Coming down heavily on the BJP leaders for their repeated statements that the UPA government has not done much to curb terrorism, Gandhi, addressing an election rally here, said, "The Parliament was attacked when the NDA government was in power."

He also said that the BJP leaders have forgotten that "one of their Union Minister had accompanied the terrorists to Kandahar in Afghanistan when an Indian Airlines plane was hijacked."

"Instead of talking about issues related to development, education and social welfare, employment, Opposition talks only on terrorism," Gandhi said.

The young leader also rubbished the opposition charges that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has not done anything in wake of the Mumbai terror attacks saying it was due to the UPA government's efforts that Pakistan has agreed to take action against the terrorists.
