Railway traffic disrupted

RAILWAY TRAFFIC on the Kanpur-Lucknow route remained disrupted due to replacement of old girders at Ganges spill. Only the single track was opened for the trains. All trains were reportedly running late for several hours. This resulted in acute inconvenience to passengers at the Kanpur Central Railway station on Thursday.

RAILWAY TRAFFIC on the Kanpur-Lucknow route remained disrupted due to replacement of old girders at Ganges spill. Only the single track was opened for the trains. All trains were reportedly running late for several hours. This resulted in acute inconvenience to passengers at the Kanpur Central Railway station on Thursday.

However, keeping in mind about the disruption in movement of trains between Rai Bareli-Balamau and Kanpur-Lucknow routes, railway officials had cancelled six trains originating from Rai Bareli and Lucknow, respectively.

Earlier, railway officials had decided to change the 112-year-old girders between the Kanpur and Magarwara on the Chamak Nali, a Ganges spill. The girders were installed in 1894 during the British regime.

Though railway officials had cancelled the 5 and 10 LKM running between Lucknow and Kanpur,. some other LKMs were operational but arrived hours behind their scheduled timings.

Meanwhile, railway officials said changing of girders would be completed soon.
BIC officials leave for Delhi .

CHAIRMAN-CUM-MANAGING director of the British India Corporation (BIC) VK Goel and senior manager legal RK Mishra left for Delhi to discuss the fate of the unit with the top officials of the Union Ministry of Textile.

Dermal fillers introduced
A LIVE demonstration of dermal fillers was given for the first in the city here on Thursday. Dr Ashish Bhola, a renowned dermatologist gave valuable tips about skin care. The occasion was launching of dermal fillers at the VLCC.

Dermal fillers are used to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, folds, shaping facial contours, add volume to lips, cheeks and other parts of the face. The results could be seen instantly. Basically, there are two types of fillers. One is restylane fine lines and other is restylane. Both are gel-based and derived by bacterial fermentation process. The difference in the products is the size of gel particles.

Workshop for DPS teachers

THE FIRST all-India workshop on music and dance for the DPS (Delhi Public School) teachers will be held at DPS, Kalyanpur on March 24. Teachers from 75 schools will participate in the workshop. Renowned Santoor player Pt Shiv Kumar will present a recital on March 25 and a workshop on music will also be held by vocalist Malini Awasthi on March 24. The participants will get an opportunity to showcase their talents through their presentations on the theme ‘Madhumaas’.

Talking to newsmen Archana Nigam, principal of the school, said around 200 DPS teachers from different parts of India would participate in the workshop.

Exhibition: An art and craft exhibition was held at ABA Academy here on Thursday. Alok Mishra, president of the school inaugurated the programme.

Classrooms were decorated with different themes such as wildlife, art, craft and seasons on the occasion and students also explained the importance of wildlife and seasons to the visitors.
