The day-long rain has fully exposed the preparations of the Nagar Nigam to tackle the waterlogging problem in low-lying areas of the city.

Most of the sewer lines of the Municipal Corporation were puking up filth, causing bad smell on roads and lanes.

Most of the overcrowded bazars like Nai Sarak, Lohatia, Kashipura, Khojwa, Hukulganj, Maidagin and Assi were badly waterlogged, causing traffic jam on the route.

People were almost confined to their houses in low lying areas like Lallapura, Sunderpur, Bazardeeha and Kacchibagh areas.
