Rain forced the ODI series decider between Australia and New Zealand to be cancelled at the Gabba.

Rain forced the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy one-day cricket series decider between Australia and New Zealand to be cancelled at the Gabba in Brisbane on Friday.

Not a ball was bowled as rain and a wet outfield prevented start in play.

The inaugural series will finish all-square at 1-all after New Zealand took the series opener by four wickets in Melbourne last Sunday before Australia hit back with a 17-run win in Sydney on Wednesday.

New Zealand will now leave for home on Saturday.
