Rains disrupt rail traffic in Gujarat

Several long distance trains, especially those between A'bad and Mumbai, were worst affected due to flooding.

Heavy rains, lashing Gujarat for the last few days, disrupted the rail traffic for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, Railway sources said.

Several long distance trains, especially those between Ahmedabad and Mumbai, were worst affected due to flooding and breaches in tracks in Vadodara and Surat.

The tracks between Kosmaba and Kim, near Surat, were submerged in six inches of water, the sources added.
