The monsoon rains will definitely arrive in Delhi by the weekend, feels veteran actor Om Puri, who is in the city for the shooting of debutant director Anand Kumar's "Delhi Heights".
"Trust me, by Saturday the monsoon is going to arrive in Delhi. It is my blessing to all the people here," said Om Puri, who has been here for the past 10 days.
Delhiites might be getting baked in the summer heat, but Mumbai residents were faced with flooded roads and houses after five days of continuous rain that brought life in the hub of Indian cinema to a stand still.
The film industry, which works day and night, is reported to be in a complete mess due to the water logging, traffic jams and power cuts. As a result, quite a few shootings and promotional campaigns have been called off, and most actors and directors are sitting idle for the last few days.
"We had to do away with the promotional work of 'Corporate' because of the heavy rains. Rajkumar Santoshi had to cancel the shooting of his untitled film. The serial shooting of television serial 'Kahiin To Hoga' was put on hold," said a source from Mumbai.

Peter Martis, a media consultant of some Bollywood actors, directors and producers, said that one day he had to walk all the way from his Mumbai home to the airport to catch a flight. He is in the capital these days.
"We are not using our vehicles because of the rain. We have parked our cars at a safer place because last year due to the water logging my car was ruined and I had to sell it off," said Martis.
Even music composer-director Vishal Bhardwaj had to cancel the music launch party of his forthcoming film "Omkara".
"However, life is now getting into momentum," said another Mumbai source.
