Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday asked his cabinet colleagues and MLAs of all parties to make surprise visits to famine relief camps and submit a report on them at the earliest.
In separate orders, Gehlot asked the minister incharge of 32 districts to conduct an on-the-spot inspection of the relief camps from june 2-4 and sumbit a report to him the next day, an official spokesman said.
The minister-incharge would have to review mandays, labour ceiling, payment, fodder and drinking water availability, medical facilities and corruption, if any, the order said.
Similarly MLAs were directed to visit their respective constituencies from June 7-22 and submit a report to the CMO and Relief Minister on the same guidelines.
The Chief Minister will hold a joint meeting of Minister-incharge and MLAs in June end to discuss the drought situation and famine relief works being carried out in the state, he said.
