Rajouri villagers lament living under constant threat to their lives

Rajouri Villagers in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri town have expressed their fears about their lives being under constant threat due to the repeated cease-fire violations by Pakistan troops along the International Border.

Rajouri Villagers in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri town have expressed their fears about their lives being under constant threat due to the repeated cease-fire violations by Pakistan troops along the International Border.

Kashmir has witnessed almost uninterrupted ceasefire violation by Pakistan since August 15.The mosques in the area have been constantly targeted by the Pakistani troops, a resident informed.

Bullet marks on buildings has restricted people to their homes. Children are unable to attend regular school. A resident, Muhammad, said normal life in the town has been disrupted and people are extremely scared and worried.

Since 14th of August till date the violations have been going on and people here now have become extremely scared and worried. Children are bereft of school, are unable to attend them and we are facing many other problems in this area. We had informed the administration regarding this before as well, though nothing is being done about it, said Muhammad.
