A memorandum containing objections and demands of the community was also handed over to the Mhow SDM. The people started gathering at the Jama Masjid from 7.30 am. The Imam of the Jama Masjid and Mufti of Mhow Mohd Jabir Quasmi recited a prayer for a trouble free and peaceful march without any hassles and huge gathering started marching under his leadership.

After passing through Market Chowk, Gokulganj, Moti Mahal talkies, Saat Rasta and Hariphatak the rally reached Mhow stadium in about half an hour.

They carried posters and banners raising slogans like ‘Jews- enemies of the world’, ‘America- Demark- enemies of humanity’, ‘Ban Times of India’, ‘Hamare Nabi ki dekho shahn- Baccha-Baccha hai qurban’ etc.

Mohd Jabir Quasmi stood on top of a mini truck to address the gathering and prayed for peace and spoke about the misdeeds of the newspapers of Denmark. Advocate Hamiddulah Qureshi read out the memorandum which contained three points.

Last point was to ban the websites such as ‘www.faithfreedom.org’ in India as they are engaged in raking up false propaganda against Islam.

Mohd Jabir Quasmi handed over the memorandum to Mhow Sub Divisional Magistrate SS Rathore addressed to the Prime Minister of India.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Mohd Jabir Quasmi said that the publication of the caricatures of Prophet and Hajrat Imam Hussein had hurt the feelings of the whole Muslim society which has attracted worldwide criticism. He said that that it has been strongly opposed also by secular intellectuals and non-Muslims.
