"We are happy that the tribal MLA from Laxmipur was released in a peaceful and non-violent manner by the Maoists," Assembly Speaker Pradip Amat said.

Ramdhun, the Mahatma's favourite, was played for about two-and-a-half hours at both places, the speaker said.

Hikaka, who was abducted by Maoists in the early hours of March 24 in Koraput, was released at Balipeta in Narayanpatna area in the same district this morning in the presence of his wife Kaushalya and lawyer Nihar Ranjan Patnaik.
