In a letter to the police, she said that she do not wish to pursue the case as no such incident occurred.

"She wrote that some locals had put pressure on her to file a false case against the accused to settle personal scores. No such incident occurred and she doesn't wish to go ahead with any legal action," Masuri station house officer (SHO) Manish Saxena told Hindustan Times, quoting the letter.

According to the FIR, the woman had accused six men of barging into her house and raping her.

The accused fled the spot when her daughter raised an alarm, she had said. She also alleged unnatural sex.
