It was the same story once again as Rashid Khan came through to win the LG Western India Amateur title in comfortable fashion. In the final round on Friday at the Par-71 Poona Club Golf Course, Rashid shot a round of even-par 71, and with a tournament total of one-under 283, the Delhi player won by a margin of five shots.
Rahul Bajaj could not put pressure on the eventual winner and had to be content with a runner-up finish after he carded a round of four-over 75 to finish five shots back. The best round of the week, however, was delivered by Saurabh Bahuguna who returned a card of five-under 66 to jump to third place with his total at 10-over 294. Gagan Verma and Chikkarangappa were one shot further back at tied fourth place.
