The RDVV deputy registrar (establishment) has asked the staff to submit the original documents along with an attested photocopy of present addresses.

The notice follows detection of a case in which a professor allegedly manipulated his date of birth in his service record. However, the RDVV officials did not name the professor, saying the university Executive Council was yet to take up the matter.

When contacted, RDVV Registrar Vijay Sharma confirmed that the university has sought the original documents. “No sooner we get the documents, we would start the verification drive”, he added.

Sharma said that the university issued the notice last month but many staffers had still not submitted the documents. RDVV teaching department has 80 teachers including 30 professors, 37 readers and 12 lecturers. Similarly, there are some 285 officers and employees in RDVV.
