Former GIC principal Tilak Singh Rajput was accused of getting evaluation work done from unauthorised evaluators, who were appointed by him under K-Muha-9 process. These evaluators were caught during a raid by associate district inspector of schools SP Jaiswal during the UP Board’s evaluation at GIC.

Later, Tilak Singh Rajput was removed from the post of principal and deputy controller of GIC and SP Jaiswal was asked to take over charge by DIOS SP Diwedi. But the action taken by Diwedi has come under question since GIC principal and DIOS status was same. Therefore, he was not right person to take such action against him. Since the teachers associations are also active against the former principal, including teacher leaders representing the State Assembly, the issue is being discussed amongst Madhyamik Teachers.

According to sources, yesterday, leaders of the Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh visited the state secondary education secretary and demanded stringent action against the former principal of GIC. Sources said that an argument took between teacher leaders and the director on the issue. However, sources said that a permanent decision was likely to come from the State Government education authorities within a week.
