Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon hit out on Tuesday at former England captain David Beckham for his 250-million dollar move to Los Angeles side LA Galaxy.
Beckham has been told by Real coach Fabio Capello he will not play again before his contract runs out in July.
And Calderon told radio COPE, "He will be an average cinema actor living in Hollywood."
"The proof our technical team was right in not considering his continuity has been ratified because no one, with the player having been free, wanted him."
Beckham's five-year deal with the American club could potentially be worth up to 250 million dollars, although much of the massive contract is believed to be based on a complex system of bonus incentives.
The 31-year-old Beckham has only started five La Liga games and has been on the substitutes' bench for most of the season but he is still under contract to Real, and drawing his six million euros a year salary, until June 30.
However, with new Major League Soccer season starting in April, it is expected that Beckham will try to look for a way to leave Real in the coming six weeks to head west to link up with his new club.
Major League Soccer spokesman Stephen Rodriguez said Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas and coach Frank Yallop would likely try to buy out the remainder of Beckham's Real contract.

"It would be in (owners) AEG and LA Galaxy's best interests to buy out the rest of his contract."
