Real Madrid held to 0-0 draw by Real Betis
Real Madrid fell further behind in the Spanish league after a 0-0 draw against visiting Real Betis.

Valencia also lost ground on league leader FC Barcelona after losing to Racing Santander 2-1 yesterday. Barcelona leads with 64 points, 11 more than Madrid. Both Valencia and Osasuna are next with 52 points.
Also, Sevilla drew 1-1 with Mallorca, Cadiz was held to a 0-0 draw by Alaves, Osasuna topped Espanyol 4-2 and Zaragoza beat Malaga 1-0.
Betis had reached the last 16 of the UEFA Cup but was eliminated by Steaua Bucharest on Thursday.
Santander right back Damia Abella scored the first goal of the match for hosts, stealing the ball from defender Carlos Marchena in the 17th minute and beating goalkeeper Ludovic Butelle.
Defender Ayoze Diaz scored the second goal for Santander from a free kick in the 65th.
David Villa got one back from the penalty spot in the 75th after Santander goalkeeper Dudu Aouate slipped in the box.
Striker Javier Saviola scored for Sevilla in the 36th minute when he buried a cross from Jesus Navas on the right wing. Mallorca striker Yoshito Okubo equalised in the 70th, pouncing on a loose ball in the penalty area.
Sevilla, which eliminated Lille to reach the quarterfinals of the UEFA Cup on Wednesday, looked sharp and attacked for most of the match.
