Real vs reel at screening

It would be Shah Rukh Khan and his 13 girls vs Dutchman Herman Kruis and his 24 girls at the PVR Lucknow on Saturday, writes Sharad Deep.

It would be Shah Rukh Khan and his 13 girls vs Dutchman Herman Kruis and his 24 girls at the PVR Lucknow on Saturday, when the special screening of the Hindi movie 'Chak de India' takes place for the probables of the real Indian women's hockey team, currently attending a training camp at the SAI sub-centre here.

And to challenge the filmy team, the 24 girls along with their coaches, including Herman Kruis and GS Bhangu, would be in their official kits at the theatre for the show, which starts at 4.45 pm. The theatre management has planned a special reception for the team. "We would be extending them a special welcome at the entrance but we haven't made any special arrangements inside the hall," said PVR manager Deepak Madhwal, who termed the film's opening quite successful. "We are expecting a full house," he added. "I am eagerly awaiting the screening as I have heard the music and seen the trailors," said defender Nilima Kujur. "We are all anxious to see full-back Lalming Kim, who has acted in this film."

IWHF secretary Amrit Bose, said she was expecting a good response for women's hockey after the screening of the movie all over the country.
