Reddy arrest: Karnataka CM to meet Gadkari

BJP President Nitin Gadkari has summoned Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda to Nagpur for discussions on various matters, including the abrupt developments in the state including the arrest of former minister G Janardhana Reddy by CBI.

BJP President Nitin Gadkari has summoned Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda to Nagpur for discussions on various matters, including the abrupt developments in the state including the arrest of former minister G Janardhana Reddy by CBI.

Gowda will leave for Nagpur from Bangalore on Tuesday morning and is expected to return by afternoon, according to his programme schedule released by his secretariat.

Gowda, according to sources, will be discussing the resignation of former minister B Sreeramulu, a close aide of the mining magnate Janardhana Reddy on Monday apparently to protest against the party's decision to deny him and Reddy brothers the ministerial berths.

Discussions would also be centered around the September 26 bypoll to Koppal assembly constituency, the sources said.
