The discom on Tuesday began a two-month voluntary disclosure scheme (VDS) for domestic, non-domestic and industrial consumers to declare their unauthorised extension without paying any fine. The scheme will be available till December 31.

According to a DHBVN spokesman, consumers may declare the extended load by submitting an “application and agreement” (A&A) form along with advance consumption deposit (ACD). They neither have to submit any form or affidavit nor are required to file fresh test report if illegal use is up to 20 KW. They only have to submit a self-declaration form and a fresh report in case they want to extend load beyond 20 KW after which the connection shall be regularised without any penalty charges.

According to a discom official, the industrial consumers may declare their unauthorised load on A&A form along with revised test report and consumption security and service connection charges for extended load. They also don’t have to submit any form and affidavit.
