No untoward incidents were reported from any of the booths during the repoll, official sources said.

All the booths where repoll was taken up were manned by the central paramilitary force personnel, sources said.

Patrolling has also been intensified in the area to ensure free, fair and peaceful repolling.

Repolling was in progress at two booths in Balia, 18 in Saharsa, 15 in Madhepura, two in Araria, seven in Kishanganj, 8 in Purnea, one in Katihar, 39 in Banka, 3 in Bhagalpur, 20 in Khagaria, 92 in Munger and 13 in Begusarai where polling was held on May 5.

Repoll also started at two booths in Motihari and 10 in Sitamarhi. Motihari and Sitamarhi went to the polls on April 26.

The Election Commission has ordered repoll following complaints of large-scale booth grabbing and other irregularities, including defects in Electronic Voting Machines.
