Republic Day: 23 police officers to get medals in AP

On the occasion of Republic Day, 2009, the President of India has awarded President's Police Medal for four IPS officers for their distinguished service and IPM for 19 other officers for their meritorious services.

On the occasion of Republic Day, 2009, on Monday, the President of India has awarded President's Police Medal (PPM) for four IPS officers for their distinguished service and Indian Police Medal (IPM) for 19 other officers for their meritorious services.

President's Police Medals (PPMs) have been awarded for N Sambasiva Rao, IPS-Commissioner of Police-Visakhapatnam city and Dr M Mala Kondaiah, IPS, IGP, PTO, K Satyanarayana Rao-IPS, DIG, PCR Cell, CID and Palli Rama Rao-Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Visakahapatnam city.

Those who have got Police Medal for meritorious service (IPM) are: KV Rajendranath Reddy-IPS, Commissioner of police-Vijayawada city. P Sitha Ramanjaneyulu, IPS-DIG, Intelligence, AP, Hyderabad, B Balakrishna-IPS, SP-West Godavari and Doule Laxman Rao-Additional Superintendent of Police (AR) and Assistant Director (OD) APPA, Hyderabad.
