Residents, officials pledge to make Noida a global city

American magazine Newsweek recently placed Ghaziabad among the top eight dynamic cities of the world. By Ghaziabad, they had meant Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhera, Noida and Greater Noida areas. He said this on the occasion of Noida Foundation Day celebrations at Modern School in Sector 11 on Tuesday.

“Noida with its international standard infrastructure has emerged as a world-class city,” said Sundaram.

“With well-planned roads, excellent traffic management system and landscaped green belts, including the up-market residential areas, people take along a good experience when they visit Noida. However, commuters need to co-operate with the police and administration to keep the traffic in order,” said Sundaram. Many events were organised across the city to celebrate the Foundation Day. The authority officials, including the third and fourth grade employees, enjoyed the sports competitions held at the Noida Stadium.

Later, senior officials addressed the employees at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra followed by a kavi sammelan.

“I have experienced the fact that Noida is the best township in Delhi/ NCR owing to its internationally-reputed planning and facilities in residential and industrial sectors. I am proud that Noida is ahead of Gurgaon when it comes to residential facilities,” said Harish Verma of Sector 20.
