Amidst the furore in the Rajya Sabha on the demolition issue in Delhi, Shekhawat said that the resignations of the three members had been accepted.
While Vatsyayan and Ambani had resigned from the House in wake of the office-of-profit controversy, Azad resigned after becoming the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
Vatsyayan resigned on March 24 and Ambani submitted his resignation on March 29. Azad resigned from the membership of the House on April 29.
