A retired engineer and an army jawan allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents in Jammu district, police said.

Yash Vardhan Singh, retired Junior Engineer, committed suicide by hanging from a fan at his residence in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu city on Friday morning, they said.

In another incident, Sepoy P Vinood, resident of Maharashtra ended him life by shooting himself with his service rifle at Field Ammunition Depot (FAD) in Jindrah area of Jammu district on Thursday evening, officials said.

A case has been registered in this regard.
