A delegation of academicians from UH, led by Prof. Larry Witte accompanied by Prof. Hamid R Persai, Prof. Haider Malki and Prof. Haluk Ogmen, visited RGPV. Talking to the journalists RGPV Vice Chancellor Prof. P B Sharma said that the MoU was signed to collaborate in the fields of energy, environment, engineering, construction, maintenance engineering, nano science and technology, bio-technology, bio-informatics, pharmacy, information science and knowledge science. Stressing the importance of bio-energy, Sharma said that the RGPV was planning to work in this field in a big way.

The agreement will provide opportunity to the students of both countries to study in each other’s universities. Besides, it will entail interaction between the faculties of UH and RGPV.

The programmes that will be launched include dual degree programme in which degrees could be granted by both parties, a programme in which RGPV students will participate in specially designed Masters programme following which the students will have the option to complete PhD in similar programmes in both universities and a programme in which RGPV students could take at UH a certain fraction of courses required for select graduate degrees at RGPV, either in residence or by appropriately designed distance education.
