A joint delegation of the leaders of RJD-LJP combine petitioned the Governor in Patna on Saturday evening seeking immediate dismissal of Nitish Kumar.

Emerging from a brief meeting with the Governor D Konwar, the leaders of the alliance, including RJD spokesman Shakeel Ahmed Khan told reporters at Rajbhavan that Konwar gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation of looking into the matter.

In the joint petition signed by several RJD-LJP legislators, the alliance said a serious constitutional crisis was created in the aftermath of order of a Bihar court, after taking cognizance against Kumar under Section 302 of IPC, summoning him to present his side on September nine.

He also reminded Kumar of the instance when Lalu Prasad as well as other senior ministers in his cabinet had to resign following summons from the court under cognizable offences.
