STATE PRESIDENT of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Ramashray Verma said his party did not have a pleasant experience in running the government in coalition with Samajwadi Party. Verma was here to address corner meetings in favour of the RLD candidate for the Mayoral post Janardhan Singh.
While talking to mediapersons, Verma said though RLD was an alliance in the government but in this election, the party has fielded its candidate for mayoral post in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Aligarh, Meerut and Allahabad.
He said to share the government did not mean to forfeited the political liberty and claimed that RLD was in government but it never compromised on the issue of the plight of farmers.
Verma said the state government cleared the outstanding payment of cane growers when RLD seriously took the issue.
Responding to a question, he said in Gorakhpur SP had fielded a candidate who had an RSS background and RLD could not support him as the party had launched a campaign against communalism.
Verma said on various issues, RLD had different opinion with SP.
While RLD favours small states and raised the demands for separate state in name of Harit Pradesh and Purvanchal state, the SP leader Mulayam Singh is against creation of small states.

{{/usCountry}}Verma criticised SP for having a soft corner for the communal forces and said RLD was in favour to sideline the communal forces from the main stream of politics.
“RLD candidate for mayoral post Janardhan Singh is Mr Clean as there are no changes against him”, said Verma.
He had served his prime 20-year in defence services and a sincere candidate who could make a positive change in function of Municipal Corporation.
