Roach, who can clock 150km/h, said he did not mind working hard on lifeless wickets of the sub-continent to get the results for his team.

"It's draining to bowl on these wickets but you have no choice. You have to work hard on fitness and try and get the basics right," Roach said on Monday.

Key player
Roach has taken 10 wickets in this tournament with a career-best six for 27 against the Netherlands. He also took three wickets against Bangladesh.

"We have a plan to bowl straight, so if a batsman misses, we hit. That has worked for me so far. But here you also have to take care of your line, length and pace. And while doing all this, you also have to maintain your concentration," the fast bowler said.
