Five Pakistani paramilitary soliders and a civilian were wounded when suspected militants fired rockets in a restive tribal area bordering Afghanistan, officials said on Tuesday.
Rockets hit security checkposts in the villages of Ghalanai and Tabi and military camps in Razmak and Dosali villages in troubled North Waziristan, a security official told the agency.
The attacks after a suspected US Central Intelligence Agency airstrike directed against Al-Qaeda deputy chief Ayman al-Zawahiri last week killed 18 civilians in Bajur tribal district, which is also near Afghanistan.
The latest attacks started around midnight on Monday and continued until early Tuesday, the official said on condition of anonymity.
A civilian was injured late Monday when a rocket struck his home in a garrison area of Bannu town, some 65 kilometres southeast of North Waziristan's main town of Miranshah, a local police official said.
Pakistani forces have been battling Al-Qaeda and Taliban militants who sneaked across the mountainous border in late 2001 after the US-led invasion of Afghanistan, and have also tackled their local supporters.
The military says it drove out rebels from neighbouring South Waziristan district in 2004 and last year, but a few hundred of them escaped to North Waziristan. More than 250 Pakistani soldiers have died in the operations.
