Director Farhan Akhtar is leaving no stone unturned to promote his first film as an actor, Rock On. The musical also marks the debut of television actress Prachi Desai.
A source from the production house informs that Akhtar has kept himself free for almost two months so that he hype the film with his coactors.
"Farhan's production company has already spent a fortune putting up movie posters in as many as 3000 theatres across the world since March," informs a source. Meanwhile, the trailers are being aired too.
Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhvani, his co-producer have also planned a huge show to launch the film's music. Crowd puller The entire cast who learnt to play the guitar for the movie, will be performing for the audience live, along with music directors Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy.
"Keeping in mind the rock music angle of the film, the producers are also toying with the idea of renting a huge hall so that as many people as possible, some complete strangers, can be accommodated for the music release," says the source.
The buzz in the trade is that the film resembles Akhtar's debut film as a director Dil Chahta Hai.
