The delegation expressed its resentment against night rostering and routine power cuts during daytime in industrial areas of Fazalganj, Dadanagar and Panki.
State president of the PIA Sunil Gupta stated that the industrial areas were facing the worst ever power crisis of the decade. “On one hand industrialists are suffering due to production loss while on the other, Trade Tax officials are harassing us,” stated Gupta.
Senior regional vice president of the PIA, Murarilal Agarwal, apprised the KESCo MD of the problems faced by them in getting their inflated electricity bills amended. The issue of rostering on industrial feeder, which was declared rostering free, was also taken by the PIA members with the KESCo MD.
Apart from this, the issue of domestic connections from the industrial feeder was also raised on the occasion.
State general secretary of the PIA, Manoj Banka, said that due to domestic connections from the industrial feeder, the line loss had increased. “As promised by the KESCo, the industrial feeder must solely be reserved for industrial areas,” demanded Banka.
A memorandum was also handed over to the KESCo MD requesting him to look into the matter and do the needful.
