As per a draft proposal prepared by the IMC Health Department, the abattoir would be shifted from its present site at Khajrana to a modern facility near the landfill site by March next year.
To be spread over five acres the proposed slaughterhouse would be a ‘zero water discharge’ facility conforming to international hygiene standards and boast on-site effluent disposal plant (EDP) as well as in-house sewage treatment apparatus.
