Rs 99 cr released for auto testing facility in Dhar

THE STATE Government today released Rs 99 crore to Dhar district administration to expedite the work of land acquisition for the setting up of state-of-the-art ‘auto testing facility’ in the district.

For setting up the facility, 4,200 acre land is required. While the Government has only 1,500 acre land, it has to acquire the remaining 27,00 acre land from private parties. Senior officials of the Commerce and Industries department feel that land acquisition would pick up speed with the release of fund.

Global consultant, appointed by the Government of India, had visited the proposed site last month and approved the site selected by the Madhya Pradesh Government.

National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRIP), a Union Government organisation, is creating the proposed world-class testing, validation and R&D infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.

Officials of Commerce and Industry department told the Hindustan Times that the State Government had already identified 4,200-acre land for the proposed facility.
