The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur has taken a serious note of the intense on-going power struggle and squabble that are plaguing the BJP and has asked the party to put its house in order.
The expulsion of the senior leader Jaswant Singh for writing the controversial book on Jinnah and subsequent crisis triggered within the party before and after the *Chintan Baithak* at Shimla, the Sangh parivar feels the party should overcome from the present crisis by once again going to its core ideology.
Talking to Hindustan Times, the RSS ideologue and former spokesman MG Vaidya pointed out that the party had lost its credibility and as a result faced a humiliating defeat in the recent Lok Sabha elections. The issues, like construction of Ram Temple, the common civil code and abolition of Article 370 that the party had promised to the people were conveniently
forgotten once they came to power.
The low turn out in urban areas this time was because of the disenchantment of the middle class who were always with the BJP. They drifted from the party as the party lost its credibility. ”This disenchantment was also reflected within the organisation. As many as six Lok Sabha members from the BJP voted for the trust vote motion for N-power, defying the party directives,” he further said.
Vaidya agreed with the views of Arun Shourie that a “coterie ” is running the party. “The time has come for the top leaders to vacate the posts for others,” he lamented and indirectly said that the leader of the Opposition LK Advani and the party president Rajnath Singh should make passage to others by relinquishing their posts.

{{/usCountry}}“The way Arun Jaitley was made the leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha without taking others into confidence speak volumes about the way the decisions are taken arbitrarily in the party,” he added.
He feels that the present crisis would only end if the party changes the leadership.
On the other hand, a section of RSS leaders in Nagpur feel that the unceremonious expulsion of Jaswant Singh from the party and exist of Sudheendra Kulkarni were indication that Advani era would end in the coming days.
“The RSS is not happy that Advani is continuing as the leader of Opposition further,” claims Dilip Deodhar, a RSS expert, who wrote at least a dozen books on the organisation.
