Expressing unhappiness over the bitter tussle witnessed between the BJP and its former leader Uma Bharti in the Bada Malhera and Vidisha bypolls in MP, the RSS has deplored the division of saffron votes and hinted that both should reunite to consolidate the "Hindu sangh".

In an editorial in its latest issue, RSS mouthpiece Panchjanya, while welcoming the BJP's victory in the by-election, observed that the "saffron versus saffron" battle there was painful.

"Who can derive comfort from the saffron versus saffron scene? For whom was this violence, expletives and cutting into each others' votes? Are Hindus living in this country to see this saffron versus saffron (fight)?", the editorial piece asked.

It should be an occasion to celebrate when the "military unity of the Hindu Sangh" becomes one against "Gazni" ( an apparent reference to the Congress), it stated.

"Until when will the Hindu society keep fighting internal feud and splits?", the editorial questioned.
