Vinod, a 'taluk karyavah' of RSS, died on the spot of serious injuries suffered in the attack late on Sunday night, police sources said on Monday.

Police suspect Muslim outfit NDF to be behind the attack as Vinod was an accused in a case relating to the murder of a sympathiser of that group at Charummood two years back.

Sangh Parviar outfits are observing a day-long hartal in the area on Monday as a mark of protest against the murder.
