Encouraged by a Delhi government order asking all its departments to allow the campaign's volunteers to set up their camps outside government offices, volunteers on Wednesday set up mini-camps or help-desks at the officers of as many as seven Sub-Division Magistrates in the Capital.

"It was not preplanned by the campaign, but people visiting our camps kept telling us about various problems they have been facing at these offices, so we decided to step up our action," said activist Arvind Kejriwal. He informed that the sub-camps at the two passport officers, which were set up on Wednesday, were also going on.

The help-desks outside the seven SDM offices will be in areas like Nandnagri, Geeta Colony, Daryaganj, Mehrauli, among others.

Soon after the help-desks or mini-camps began, volunteers started reporting success stories in bits.

"In Nandagiri, the officer regarding the issuance of ration cards called one of the volunteers and assured that all applications would be honoured promptly," said Vibhav, a student volunteer of the drive.

The mini-camp at the passport office at Bhikaji Kama place kept on registering RTI-requisitions and the tally was 45 by the end of the day.

In all, 210 RTI requisitions were filed at the various venues in Delhi on Wednesday. All these centres, including the main camp at Indira Gandhi stadium will be on till July 15.
