Three persons were injured in the incident and were later taken to the UHM Hospital.

Sakeena Parveen, headmistress of the school, said the incident occurred at lunch break when a student threw some banana peels that incidentally fell in front of Aari Wala Mill Store, which is located in the ground floor of the school building. On this, shop owner Dilip Kumar Saxena and his brother Kamlesh along with their servants reached the Head Mistress’s office and lodged a complaint.

Meanwhile, a servant of the shop got aggressive and misbehaved with her.
Finding her helpless, she called her sons Imran Farooqui (23) and Irfan Farooqui (21), who reached the spot along with their friend Asif Ali. Seeing her in trouble, the youths got infuriated and a heated exchange of words ensued between the two parties.

Sakeena rushed to the nearby Anwarganj police station for help and the police reached the site and controlled the situation. The injured were taken to the UHM Hospital.

Meanwhile, the shop owners leveled allegations that the youths had come to loot the shop and they had no other option but to defend them. They said the youths even succeeded in looting Rs 40,000.

To protest the attack, the Members of the Machinery and Mill Store Merchants Association also issued a call for bandh.

Sakeena further said that the incident was a well-planned strategy by the shopkeepers and other tenants of the school building, who had illegally encroached the school premises. She further said that the Additional City Metropolis Magistrate (IV) had already ordered to vacate the illegal possession of the school building.

The Anwarganj SO said a compromise formulae had been reached between the two parties. However, when enquired, the BSA expressed ignorance.
