Rupesh wins first prize in long jump

VARIOUS ATHLETIC events were held on Monday on the third day of the 45th MP Police Sports Meet in various grounds. In 1000-metre race, K R Singh from Indore west won the first position. He recorded a timing of 36.58.1 seconds. In the 200-metre race, Rupesh Thakur from Indore west won the first position and his timing was 24.2 seconds.

In the women’s category, Sunita Patel from Indore west bagged the first position and her timing was 28.2 seconds. In long jump, Rupesh Kumar of Indore west won the first position jumping 6.74-m. Mahipal Singh won the first position in shot put clearing 10.56m, while in women’s category P C Neelamma won the first position clearing 9.95m. Kamla Patel of Indore west won the first position in 110-m race.

The hockey match played between Gwalior and Jabalpur ended in 1-1 draw. In another match Bhopal central beat Jabalpur east by 3-1.

In swimming Kailash Parihar won the first position in the 50-m freestyle. In 400-m freestyle Champalal won the first position. In wrestling Rjesh Yadav won the first position in 60-kg weight category.
