Consul General of Russian Federation Alexander V Mantytsky along with senior officer Pavel F Achikyan met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the Mantralaya here today and discussed the scope of Russian capital investment in the State and matters regarding promotion of cultural relations between the two nations.
According to an official release, Mantytsky informed that Russian industrialists and traders have interest in mining and tourism sectors in the State and proposed a visit of prospective Russian investors.
He said that the number of Russian tourists visiting India had been increasing and this would benefit Madhya Pradesh too.
The Chief Minister assured Mantytsky of all possible cooperation from the State Government. He said that India and Russia had intimate socio-cultural relations and the State Government would extend every possible help for strengthening the cultural tie-up.
Chouhan presented a set of books on the State to the Russian Consul General while Mantytsky reciprocated the gesture by presenting the Chief Minister a model of a Red Square situated Church at Moscow.
Principal Secretary Industry, OP Rawat, Secretary to CM, Iqbal Singh Bains, Anurag Jain, Secretary Mining Devraj Birdi, managing director, MP State Industrial Development Corporation, Raghav Chandra and senior officials from the office of the Consul General were also present at the meeting.
