Graeme Smith, who led South Africa to a five-wicket win over India in the first one-dayer on Wednesday, hopes his team will continue the same level of performance in the rest of the five match series.
But Smith, whose team is now two matches away from breaking Australia's record of winning 21 games on the trot, said the series against India would not be easy.
He said he was not preoccupied with breaking records. "We hope to win the second match in Bangalore and thus register our 21st win but it is not going to be easy."
"We're happy to begin the series on a winning note and we hope to continue this form in rest of the series but this will be a tough series."
Pointing out that all the four remaining games would be day-night contests, Smith said the toss would play a key role in view of the dew factor.
A confident Smith said his team had the ability to win matches but it would not take things for granted.
About Wednesday's victory, he said his team played according to a game plan. "Our bowlers were aggressive and took full advantage of the dew by sending back India's top batsmen early in the innings."

Smith, who scored 48, was all praise for Jacques Kallis, Ashwell Prince and Justin Kemp for their batting. He said as Pathan was proving expensive, there was pressure on India's fifth bowler.
