"In view of reports which said that the container carrying the heart of my father was not properly sealed and it was rejected on that ground by the medical college, I demand that the administration conduct a DNA test on the organ to establish whether it belongs to my father or someone else," Himanshu said.

He also expressed anguish over the fact that 14 days had elapsed since his father's death and despite "due to pressure from the government", the police were unable to question nine persons they had identified in the case.

Himanshu said that if nothing happened soon, he would meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to press for handing over the probe to the CBI.

Meanwhile, Ujjain's Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad said that the heart had been sent back to MGM Medical College in Indore for examination.

He denied reports that the case containing the heart was not properly sealed or that legal norms were not followed while sending it for tests.
