Team physio Andrew Leipus, who was monitoring Tendulkar's fitness, announced after nets at the MIG Club here that the master batsman had totally recovered from the elbow injury and was fit to take on the Aussies in the Test beginning on Tuesday.

"Tendulkar is fit and will be on the plane to Nagpur tomorrow and will play in the third Test.

"The stiffness and soreness in his elbow has gone and he was comfortable while batting," said Leipus, who tested Tendulkar's elbow by bending it at the wrist and at the elbow joints.

Leipus had on Friday said that the deadline for Tendulkar to prove his fitness was Sunday (tomorrow).

Tendulkar said he was feeling pretty confident and comfortable while batting in the nets on Saturday.
