Rebel Congress leader and former minister, Vidhan Mishra, who was denied a ticket from his traditional constituency Dharsiva, has demanded the removal of Chief Minister Ajit Jogi and imposition of President's rule in the state. An angry man now, Mishra has alleged that free and fair elections cannot be held in Chhattisgarh as long as Jogi was at the helm of affairs.
Talking to Hindustan Times, he said that the situation in Chhattisgarh was not conducive to holding elections. A large section of bureaucrats, including IAS and IPS officers are dancing to the tune of Jogi and a fair elections was not possible if such officers work in districts, he pointed out.
Endorsing the statement of the chief election commission, JM Lyngdoh that the situation of Chhattisgarh was worst than Gujarat, he sought an immediate intervention from the President of the country.
"I am sending a letter to the President in this regard and copies of the letter would be sent to the prime minister, union Home minister and CEC, Lyngdoh," he informed. He has sent his resignation to party chief Sonia Gandhi, a couple of days back. He resigned from the Jogi cabinet in protest against denial of a ticket. However, he has not received any communication from Sonia in this regard so far.
According to him, at least four senior IPS officers are roaming in the state and threatening opponents, particularly those who are critical about the Jogi's style of functioning.

I would narrate him about the details," he informed and said that he was convinced with the statement of Lyngdoh that a free elections in Chhattisgarh was not possible with the officers, posted in different districts.
"I am in the government. I know each and every details of the strategy of Jogi government to ensure a massive victory to the Congress," he alleged.
Meanwhile, Jogi refused to comments on the statement of Mishra. "He is still in the Congress and I don't want to make a statement against my colleague," he added.
