None of the defendants or their counsel in the trouble-plagued trial of Saddam Hussein on crimes against humanity will be appearing in Monday's hearing, the deposed dictator's chief lawyer said.

The defence lawyers and then Saddam himself walked out of the court in protest during a stormy session on January 29 in protest at the new presiding judge's decision to forcibly expel Saddam's half brother, Barzan al-Tikriti for being disruptive.
